BMW X5 4.4 litre V8..........
Impressive X5 4.4 Litre.
A bargain when today's petrol prices make their presence felt. Ouch!
It'll be a lot cheaper to run on LPG......
The larger engined X5's are pretty quick by saloon cars standards. Amazing when it is remebered that the car is a true 4WD, although I don't see many going off road.
Here are some pictures of the Go LPG X5 conversion;
X5 conversion problem number one - The Battery is fitted underneath the spare wheel. If a spare wheel replacement tank is fitted here it has to be reasonably easy to remove to get at the Battery but still must be mounted strongly enough to withstand movement in an impact.
The second problem - The Air Suspension Pump has to be moved and is best mounted on the back of one of the rear seats.
A 4 hole tank was chosen for best LPG capacity. The boot floor closes just like it used to before.
The filler point fits neatly in the rear bumper if desired.
The fuel choice switch works well in this position
LPG injectors are neatly fitted underneath the plastic engine cover.
