EXTERIOR
The deep blue metallic paintwork (Pacific Blue) is original and unmarked.
The rare 'Asteroid' 18" wheels have been refurbished and look as new.
In the Sunshine, the Pacific Blue metallic paint is quite stunning...
The Jaguar / Paramount / Go LPG XJR has a throaty growl reminiscent of a big American V8, If the exhaust proves to be just too loud, we could fit a standard system
The square box is an LPG filler point Dust Cover. This filler is so easy to use with a
A previous owner spent a huge sum of money by sending this car to Paramount for perfomance enhancement.
Full Stainless Steel free-flow exhaust system (This car does NOT sound like an ordinary XJR!)
The car was then 'Chipped' and re-mapped on a rolling road.
There is a pile of paperwork and graphs etc. in the car's history showing all the details. The Paramount placard is discreetly fixed to the NS inner boot closure panel.
Service History.
The car has very comprehensive service history, measured in wads.
In addition to normal servicing, the Gearbox Oil and Filter have just been changed by Driver Transmissions, Moseley Road, B'ham.
The car has just had a 4 wheel alignment tracking check where it was found to be well within Jaguar tolerances.
The Driver's seat has some wear, although Jaguar followers will expect that.
Another important and expensive addition was something omitted from cars of
this era.
The car has some of the best and most intersting Burr Walnut figuring I have seen in any car.
Electric Slide or tilt Sunroof
This car is truly extraordinary in several ways. I'll focus more on the
differences rather than the standard XJR items you probably know about already.
Although camera flash wipes out the true colours, the car has the 'R' decals that were only fitted to later XJR V8 models.
From the rear, only the larger bore tailpipes give a clue that this XJR is far from standard.
A full Paramount Stainless Steel Free-Flow exhaust system hides behind them.
This car is not for the faint hearted, nor would it endear anyone to their neighbours
if they live in a quiet cul-de-sac.
the sort that makes men drool as soon as the engine is started...
Even at idle, the exhaust note lifts heads!
which would make it more neighbour friendly and as quiet as an ordinarly XJR.
Shame though!
filling pump on either side, we think it far better than cutting awful holes in the car's

Under the Bonnet, things look exactly as you'd expect them to.
The latest Romano HD LPG kit can support 500 BHP with just one vaporiser/reducer unit.
The original toolkit is present and no-one has yet broken the cellophane wrapping.

All in all, this car is probably unique.
Beginning from new, the car cost around £60,000. Then Paramount worked their magic at a cost of several thousand pounds.
The SAT-NAV was added at yet more cost by the previous owner who (A JEC member) lavished all possible care on it. A stack of invoices for scrupulous maintenance add another few thousand to the total. As it that weren't enough, we converted it to run on a cheaper and less polluting fuel with top flight LPG equipment. Now it has stunning performace, beautiful looks, low mileage, lower emissions, amazing pedigree and it runs on fuel at 60p a litre. What more could anyone ask for?! Some Tax (June 2010), MOT, FSH and UK LPG Certified LPG system. The car is easily worth £8195. The highly specialised LPG conversion costs £2800. Package price £10995 No rush to sell, no offers, no PX's required, no test pilots or dreamers.
