| Ford Mondeo 1800 Duratec Well equipped and popular with commercial high mileage users, the Mondeo has high regard. It's fuel consumption is not bad, but the price of LPG magnifies savings to a level where an owner on a reasonable mileage allowance can save a lot more money. |
| The long range requirement was met by fitting a 400mm diameter 90 litre tank. | |
| Romano 'N' System SGi (Multi point sequential gas injection) equipment was used for the 'front end' and it is impossible to tell which fuel the vehicle is running on. Once the Engine covers have been refitted it is hard to spot any evidence of conversion. Only the vaporiser/ reducer unit can be seen just under the bulkhead ledge. A 'Flashlube' system was also fitted to provide some lubrication to the engine valves. |
| The LPG filler is mounted in the rear bumper. |
