| 2.9i V6 Transit Originally built to special order for Police and Forces, there are quite a few around, some with very low mileage. They are a good subject for conversion as small camper / RV's which was the owners intention here. Long range trips around the isolated parts of Europe is their aim, hence the huge LPG capacity. |
|
| The long range requirement was met by fitting a pair of 230 litre tanks (only available as 4 hole) filling and supplying fuel in tandem. | |
| The best fuel choice switch position was found in the lower dashboard. | |
| Romano 'N' System SGi (Multi point sequential gas injection) equipment was used for the 'front end'. Although this vehicle has EFi it does not have a Lambda or Oxygen sensor, but we now manage to fuel map the new LPG system without fitting one ( and there is less to go wrong). The LPG filler is mounted on the towbar for ease of use. |
