It does quite well on fuel but at up to �1 a litre for petrol it'll be a lot cheaper to run on LPG!

We fitted a 61 litre toroidal tank in the spare wheel well which makes a small bump in the boot carpet. A smaller (lower in height) tank could have been fitted but the owner wanted as much range as he could have whilst still retaining most of the load space.

The LPG filler fits neatly in the lower portion of the rear bumper

We go to a lot of effort to place the fuel changeover switch in the owner's desired postion.
It can be seen here just below the cigar lighter (with a plug in place). This is a good choice.

Here's the converted engine.
The 4 gas injectors can be seen sitting on top of the manifold, along with the gas distribution manifold and pipework. The vaporiser (reducer) is tucked away lower in the engine bay.

Fuel economy........

Given that petrol is now around 2.6 times the price of LPG, this gave an equivalent fuel economy figure of 70mpg in terms of what it would have cost on petrol.

Who said that smaller cars are not worth converting to LPG?
